Tussenklip

If you are looking for a romantic break away or simply some well-deserved time off to relax and enjoy the silence and tranquility nature has to offer, then Tussenklip is the answer. Best of all, this gem is just outside Nelspruit. As a lodge photographer, I am lucky to experience these places for myself.

Some of you might be familiar with The Fig Tree House by the same owners – a great experience for young and old. As with The Fig Tree House, I admire the vision of the owners to build something this unique. It certainly could not have been easy to build a luxurious cabin between two large boulders… but it was done to perfection with all the modern amenities you will ever need.

Marketing Material

I was approached to capture their first set of marketing material. This place is however one of those where pictures don’t do justice. You must experience it yourself to appreciate its uniqueness and ideal location.

The top level houses the kitchen, dining, and lounge area with a built-in braai. It opens onto a deck with a stunning view across the huge boulders to the distant valleys and hills. In the early morning, the birdsong emanating from the valley below while holding a cup of coffee is something special.

One level down is the bedroom with a modern bathroom. The bedroom opens up onto a deck nestled between the rocks with loungers where you can relax and unwind. The final treat is one more level down – a jacuzzi under a canopy of fig trees. At night, the rocks are illuminated with a few spotlights creating a magical scene.
